733 medical camps organized in flood-affected areas under 'Mission Chardi Kala' successfully completed

Kiratpur Sahib, October 07 : The Punjab government has given necessary instructions to the Health Department for the healthy health of the common people of the state. Under the leadership of Cabinet Minister Harjot Bains and as per the instructions issued by Civil Surgeon Rupnagar Dr. Sukhwinderjit Singh, the medical camps that have been going on for the last one month in the flood-affected areas of Block Kiratpur Sahib have been successfully completed.

Senior Medical Officer Ind. Dr. Jangjit Singh said that under the Punjab government’s Mission Chardi Kala, 733 camps were organized by the team of PHC Kiratpur Sahib from September 3 to October 4 in the flood-affected areas of Block Kiratpur Sahib. During these camps, 12118 patients were provided free medicines and health facilities. Dr. Jangjit Singh said that apart from this, his team rescued 8 flood victims from the water and provided them with first aid on the spot and after saving their lives, they were shifted to SDH Nangal safely. These patients included 2 pregnant women, snake bite victims, high BP and hypertension patients.

Senior Medical Officer Ind. Dr. Jangjit Singh has saluted the spirit of service and enthusiasm of the teams deployed in different areas of Block Kiratpur Sahib for continuously providing high-quality health facilities to the people free of cost without any leave.
On this occasion, District Epidemiology Officer Dr. Harleen Kaur and Dr. Surya Sharma at Rupnagar said that the medical camp being run in the flood affected areas under the direction of Civil Surgeon Dr. Sukhwinderjit Singh and Flood Nodal Officer Dr. Bobby Gulati and the dengue survey being conducted by ASHA workers from house to house have been successfully completed. He said that in view of the threat of spreading diseases like dengue and malaria, the team will continue to spray black oil on areas with standing water.
