Sri Chamkaur Sahib, October 08: The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Block Sri Chamkaur Sahib, organized a block level farmer training camp on stubble management at village Behrampur Bet.
In this block level camp, farmers of the villages were motivated not to burn stubble because doing so damages the fields, pollutes the environment and also causes a lot of problems to the passers-by on the roads. Therefore, stubble should be thrown in the fields because plowing stubble in the fields has many benefits and the yield of the fields also increases. Apart from this, you can also get bales prepared from balers.
Information about machinery provided on subsidy by the Agriculture Department such as superseeder, baler etc. was also shared so that the farmers can manage stubble.
On this occasion, it was also appealed that paddy should be harvested on time and paddy with high moisture should not be brought to the market. So that there is no problem.
BDPO Shri Chamkaur Sahib Ajaib Singh, Agricultural Development Officer Davinder Singh, Agricultural Extension Officer Ashok Kumar, Agriculture Sub-Inspector Gurpreet Singh and Mohit were present in this camp.
