Appeal to the city residents to support the cleanliness campaign
Sri Anandpur Sahib 09 November : Sr. Harjot Singh Bains, Cabinet Minister for Education and Information and Public Relations Department and MLA Sri Anandpur Sahib, will start a special cleanliness campaign from November 10. At 7 am, S. Bains, along with his colleagues, team workers and employees of the Municipal Council, will personally start this extensive campaign by leading the cleanliness work. Municipal Council President Harjit Singh Jeeta and all the councilors and dignitaries of the city will also be present with him.
This campaign will be launched from November 10 to make Sri Anandpur Sahib shine before the 350th martyrdom anniversary celebrations of the ninth Guru of India, Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, which will continue on a large scale and uninterruptedly till November 30. The cooperation of local people and shopkeepers has also been sought in this campaign. In this campaign, a special drive will be run to keep the main roads, streets, drains of the city clean and free from dirt and at the same time efforts will be made to keep the environment clean by disinfecting and fogging in the afternoon. Special attention will also be paid to continuous spraying of water on the main roads of the city and pruning and cleaning of plants. An appeal will also be made by Mr. Bains and his entire team to properly manage the garbage collected and to keep wet and dry garbage separate by not using single-use plastic and disposal. Seeking cooperation from the city residents, he said that lakhs of devotees from the country and abroad are reaching Sri Anandpur Sahib and Kiratpur Sahib on the occasion of the martyrdom centenary celebrations, it is our duty to provide them with a clean environment. Keeping in mind the sentiments of the devotees, every corner of the Guru Nagari will be cleaned.
