Rupnagar, October 10: For the convenience of the common people and voters, the Election Commission of India has launched a new module ‘Book a Call with BLO’ on the Voter Service Portal through which common citizens/voters can get information about forms related to voter lists, voter identity cards, voter slips, elections etc. from the Booth Level Officer.
Giving this information, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Shri Varjit Walia said that whenever a citizen books a call through the option of ‘Book a Call with BLO’ on the Voter Service Portal, both the BLO and the applicant will receive a text message to book the call. The Booth Level Officer will call the applicant and resolve his problem.
He said that after this, the Booth Level Officer will update the status by going to the call request option on the app and clicking on the contacted button.
The District Election Officer appealed to the voters of the district to make maximum use of the social media platforms issued by the Election Commission of India so that they can get updated information about the instructions and activities issued by the Election Commission.
