Rupnagar, September 18 : As per the guidelines of Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Shri Aditya Dechalwal, District Red Cross organized a First Aid Awareness Program at Genius International Public School. During this, about 200 students of the school were given practical training and important information regarding first aid.
District Red Cross is continuously conducting first aid training and awareness programs in schools, colleges and NCC academies so that in case of any sudden incident or accident, immediate first aid can be provided and precious lives can be saved.
On this occasion, District Red Cross Vice President Mrs. Ren Rita Dechalwal motivated the students to pursue higher education, remain disciplined, develop self-confidence and strengthen the spirit of social service. She also made the students aware to stay away from social evils and fulfill their responsibility towards the society.
District Red Cross Secretary S. Gursohan Singh gave detailed information to the students regarding CPR, first aid in cases of unconsciousness, various types of wounds, choking, hemorrhage, fractures, animal and snake bites etc. and also provided practical training.
On this occasion, the school’s principal Dr. Vuwana, the school’s administrator S. Charanjit Singh Channi and the teaching staff of the school were present.
