Harjot Singh Bains, Cabinet Minister for Technical Education, Industrial Training, Higher Education, Language Department, School Education and Information and Public Relations Department, Punjab, today extended his heartfelt congratulations to all Punjabis living around the world on Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas.
He said in his message that this festival is a symbol of following one’s traditions and customs by following the path of truth and goodness. This festival reflects the values ​​and ideas of the cultural heritage of the country.
He said that the virtuous Shri Ram Ji is known as the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who gave such messages to the whole world, which are being inspired to follow by celebrating this festival every year in our society. Diwali is the festival of light. He appealed to celebrate Green Diwali to make the environment safe, because the problem of pollution is very serious and it is affecting all of us.
The Cabinet Minister also congratulated all the countrymen, especially the Sikh community, on the historic ‘Bandi Chhor Diwas’. On this day, the sixth Guru Sri Hargobind Sahib had released 52 Hindu kings from the Gwalior Fort on the day of Diwali in the year 1612.
Harjot Bains prayed for the welfare and good health of the people of the state and expressed the hope that this festival further strengthens the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood, peace and secularism.
