Cluster Level Workshop for School Eco-Clubs Successfully Organized in District Rupnagar

 

Rupnagar, August 26 : A Cluster Level Orientation Workshop for School Eco-Clubs was successfully organized today at Dasmesh Academy, Sri Anandpur Sahib, District Rupnagar under the Environment Education Program 2025.
This workshop was organized under the leadership of District Education Officer (S.E.) Shri Prem Kumar Mittal and under the supervision of District Environment Education Coordinator Sukhjit Singh. The State Implementing Agency of this program was Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, while it was supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India.

Dr. K. S. Bath (Joint Director, PSCST) was specially present on this occasion. Apart from this, Dr. Mandakani (Project Scientist), Dr. Reena Chadha, General Manager, Indian Pollution Control Association, Principal, Dashmesh Academy, Mrs. Sonu Walia, Madam Vishali Singh and Beauty Sharma (NGO Pai-JAM Foundation, New Delhi) were also present and shared important ideas in the workshop.

This workshop was specially organized for the teachers in charge of school eco-clubs, so that they can make the students of the schools of their respective districts aware about the environment.

The eco-club in-charges of schools of Fatehgarh Sahib, Jalandhar, Patiala, Rupnagar, S.A.S. Nagar and S.B.S. Nagar participated in the workshop.
During the sessions, detailed information was shared on important topics like environment conservation, climate change, water conservation, creating a clean environment and LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment).
The media in-charge of this program, Mr. Dishant Mehta, said that the main objective of this workshop is to make students aware of the environment through teachers, so that the future generation can create a safe environment.
On this occasion, an exhibition of various models prepared by the students who secured first place in the district-level environmental conservation competitions was also organized, which was viewed with great interest by the chief guests and the officers present.

 

The main stage performance was handled by Kulwant Singh.
At the end of the program, the chief guests honored the media coordinator, members of the Eco Club, block and district coordinators and all the teachers who made the program a success by giving them certificates and tokens of appreciation.

On this occasion, a large number of teachers including Gurpreet Singh, Manjit Kaur, Kuljinder Kaur, Sukhjit Singh, Meena Kumari, Avtar Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Vanita Saini, Electronics Media Incharge Dishant Mehta, Mandeep Kaur, Shalu, Anamika Sharma, Charanjit Singh Banga, environmentalist Sanjeev Dharmani, Om Prakash, Sukhwinder Singh, Atul Dubedi, Vivek Kumar, Jagmohan Singh, Jagjit Singh, Jarnail Singh were present.
