“Police recommends changing routes at Bheora Pass to avoid traffic jams”

Rupnagar, September 30 – Giving information through a press note, Mr. Gulneet Singh Khurana, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police Rupnagar has informed that the work of flyover is going on near village Bheora on National Highway No.-205 (Rupnagar-Chandigarh Highway) in Rupnagar district. Due to this, traffic jam is being created on the highway and those coming and going on the road are facing a lot of inconvenience.
He said that the District Police Rupnagar has informed the general public that to avoid traffic jams, vehicle drivers can go to Chandigarh via Sri Chamkaur Sahib, if they want to go to Sub Division S.B.S. Nagar (Nawanshahr) or Chandigarh. Along with this, vehicle drivers who want to go to Chandigarh from Nangal can easily reach there via Nalagarh-Baddi Road. In this way, vehicle drivers can save their time while avoiding the traffic jams that are forming at Bheora Pass.
They have appealed to contact the District Police Control Room No. 94794-04100 and Helpline No. 112 for more information.
They have also appealed to the public to follow alternative routes to smoothen traffic and for their own safety.
