Bus Flagged Off from Agampur under Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme; Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains Gives Green Signal
Sri Anandpur Sahib, September 19: Under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme, Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains today flagged off a bus carrying pilgrims from village Agampur. On the occasion, he extended his best wishes to all the pilgrims embarking on the journey and said that the Punjab Government had launched this initiative to facilitate people in visiting various religious places.
He stated that the scheme is a combination of convenience and devotion for people who wish to visit religious shrines.
Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that during the three-day pilgrimage, devotees would get an opportunity to visit religious places. The Punjab Government would bear the expenses related to transportation, accommodation, and other necessary arrangements for the pilgrims.
He said that the government’s objective was to ensure that no person is deprived of a religious pilgrimage due to financial constraints. Enthusiasm for the scheme was also visible among the pilgrims embarking on the journey.
He further said that under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme, pilgrims from different parts of the state were being sent to visit religious shrines. The aim of the initiative is to enable people to visit religious places in a safe and well-organized manner.
He added that special attention would be given to the comfort and convenience of pilgrims throughout the journey. On the occasion, local residents and pilgrims appreciated the initiative of the Punjab Government, stating that it was providing them with an opportunity to visit religious places with their families.
While flagging off the bus from village Agampur, Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains interacted with the pilgrims, enquired about their journey, and wished them a safe and pleasant pilgrimage.
He said that the Punjab Government was committed to making such pilgrimages more convenient while respecting the religious sentiments of the people.
The bus, which departed for a three-day pilgrimage, will return the pilgrims after taking them to the designated religious places. The pilgrims expressed their gratitude to the Punjab Government and Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains on the occasion.
