
Oil extraction units with a capacity of 10 tonnes per day will get a maximum subsidy of Rs 9.90 lakh.
He said that under this scheme, subsidy will be given only on the cost of machinery and equipment to be purchased for the oil extraction unit. He said that eligible farmers, farmer producer organizations, cooperative societies, private and other eligible institutions or entrepreneurs, who fulfill the conditions of the scheme, can apply for this scheme.
S. Nirmal Singh informed that interested applicants can submit their applications along with required documents to the office of District Chief Agriculture Officer Rupnagar or concerned Block Agriculture Officer by 11th August 2026.
He further informed that if the number of applications received exceeds the prescribed limit, then the selection of beneficiaries will be done by the district level committee formed under the Oilseeds Mission and the decision of the committee will be final.
He appealed to the eligible farmers, FPOs, cooperative societies and other eligible entrepreneurs of the district to submit their applications within the stipulated time to avail maximum benefit of this beneficial scheme.
