69th Inter-School District Level Athletics Games Begin at Government College Rupnagar

Rupnagar, 03 October 2025 – The 69th Inter-School District Level Athletics Games began with enthusiasm today at the playground of Government College Rupnagar. These games are being organized under the guidance of District Education Officer Mr. Prem Kumar Mittal, under the supervision of District Sports Coordinator Mrs. Sharanjit Kaur and under the supervision of Convener Principal S. Kulwinder Singh Zonal President Rupnagar. In the inaugural ceremony, Principal of Government College Rupnagar Mr. Jatinder Singh Gill inaugurated the games and motivated the players to move forward with discipline and continuous hard work. On the first day, competitions were held especially for girls. At the medal distribution ceremony, Mr. Jatinder Singh Gill, Mrs. Sharanjit Kaur and S. Kulwinder Singh honored the winning players. On this occasion, the entire organizing team including Vice-Convenor S. Varinder Singh organized the games smoothly.
The results of today’s competitions were released by State Awardee Mr. Narinder Singh Banga. In the U-14 girls’ 400m race, Angel (Rupnagar Zone) stood first, Razia Begum (Ghanoli) stood second and Manisha stood third. In the 600m race, Dilpreet Kaur (Noorpur Bedi) stood first, Preneet Kaur (Ghanoli) stood second and Shabdpreet Kaur (Rana Anandpur Sahib) stood third. In the long jump, Lovepreet Kaur (Morinda) stood first, Ravneet Kaur (Mianpur) stood second and Jasvir Kaur (Takhtgarh) stood third.
In the U-17 girls’ 100m race, Manreet Kaur (Rupnagar) stood first, Sandeep Kaur (Takhtgarh) stood second and Sheetal (Ghanoli) stood third. In the 400 meter race, Kamakshi Chatterjee (Nangal) won first, Suman Devi (Noorpur Bedi) won second and Simarpreet Kaur won third. In the 800 meter race, Diljit Kaur (Noorpur Bedi) won first, Kamakshi Chatterjee (Nangal) won second and Shagunpreet Kaur (Morinda) won third. In the 1500 meter race, Mannat Rana (Nangal) won first, Shreya Yadav (Rupnagar) won second and Anmolpreet Kaur (Dhami) won third. In the 3000 meter race, Mannat Rana (Nangal) won first, Parminder Kaur (Takhtgarh) won second and Poonam (Anandpur Sahib) won third. In the long jump, Jashanpreet Kaur (Takhtgarh) won first, Akanksha (Takhtgarh) won second and Preet Bains (Ghanoli) won third.

In the U-19 girls’ 100m race, the first place was won by Prinsi Kumari (Nangal), the second by Bhupinder Kaur (Takhtgarh) and the third by Jashanpreet Kaur (Rupnagar). In the 400m race, Seema (Takhtgarh) won the first place, Jasleen Kaur won the second place and Satuti Kalyan won the third place. In the 1500m race, Diya Rana (Nangal) won the first place, Mandeep Kaur (Takhtgarh) won the second place and Roshni (Nangal) won the third place. In the 3000m race, Mannat Saini (Nangal) won the first place, Simranjit Kaur (Takhtgarh) and Gorika Bagga (Nangal) won the joint third place. In the long jump, Arshpreet Kaur (Noorpur Bedi) won the first place, Demen (Takhtgarh) won the second place and Anu Devi (Noorpur Bedi) won the third place.
In organizing these games successfully, S. Inderjit Singh (Track Event Incharge), S. Rajveer Singh (Throw Event Incharge), S. Gurvinder Singh (Jump Incharge), Smt. Gurpreet Kaur (Zonal Secretary Rupnagar), S. Ravinder Singh, S. Paramjit Singh, S. Gurinderjit Singh Mann, S. Davinder Singh, Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Smt. Ranveer Kaur, Smt. Dharminder Kaur and other teachers made their significant contribution.
