Rupnagar, October 8: Under the leadership of District Rupnagar Civil Surgeon Dr. Sukhwinderjit Singh, the Health Department organized an important meeting regarding the preparations for the activities to be carried out by the Health Department on the occasion of the 350th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 22 to November 26. All the Program Officers, SMOs and related staff attended this meeting.
Dr. Sukhwinderjit Singh said that thousands and lakhs of devotees are likely to attend this big event to be celebrated at Sri Anandpur Sahib. Therefore, orders have been issued by the Health Department to make complete preparations on time.
He said that Aam Aadmi Clinic, special medical camp, emergency response teams, ambulance services and mobile medical units will be deployed at the event venue so that any kind of health emergency can be resolved immediately.
The Civil Surgeon directed that all health teams will be deployed 24 hours. Special attention should be given to water purification, food safety and prevention of dengue-mosquitoes etc. He said that field teams will launch a cleanliness drive in the area before the event and people will be made aware about health precautions.
On this occasion, the Civil Surgeon said that during the Gurpurab, first aid centers, dispensaries and medical stalls will be set up at every important place. Apart from this, ample stock of medicines, oxygen cylinders, sanitizers and other health materials will be ensured.
On this occasion, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Bobby Gulati, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Anjali Chaudhary, District Health Officer Dr. Varinder Kumar, District Dental Set Officer Dr. Rajneet Kaur, District Program Manager Doli Singla and S. M. O.s of all blocks were present.
