Preparations Begin for the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary Events of Ninth Guru Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji – Deputy Commissioner
Sri Anandpur Sahib, September 30 – The 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of “Hind Di Chadar,” Ninth Guru Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, will be observed at Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 23 to November 25, 2025. A large number of devotees from across India and abroad are expected to participate. The administration is making elaborate arrangements for the same.

Deputy Commissioner of Rupnagar, Varjeet Walia, while issuing directions to officers regarding the ongoing preparations, said that all officials must discharge their duties with a spirit of service and prioritize the convenience of devotees. He added that it is a matter of great fortune for all to be part of this historic commemoration.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner discussed in detail the responsibilities assigned to various departments and officers. Special emphasis was given to setting up civil and police control rooms, traffic management, parking facilities, preparations of the tent city, sanitation, electricity, and proper lighting arrangements.

Additional directions were issued to ensure timely closure of liquor vends, checking of shops and medical stores, availability of food items, cleanliness, deployment of ambulances, establishment of first-aid posts, fire brigade arrangements, telecommunication facilities, and installation of additional mobile towers.

He further informed that police force, duty magistrates, and sector officers will be deployed to maintain law and order during the events. Transport facilities will also be enhanced for the devotees, and all concerned officials have been directed to act promptly as per the event plan.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that this is an important occasion linked with Sikh history and spiritual traditions, and the administration is fully committed to ensuring a memorable and smooth experience for devotees.

Among those present were Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Pooja Syal, RTO Gurvinder Singh Johal, Assistant Commissioner Arvinderpal Somal, SP Arvinder Meena, SDM (Sri Anandpur Sahib) Jaspreet Singh, CM Field Officer Jasjit Singh, DSP Ajay Singh, District Sports Officer Jagjeevan Singh, District Development and Panchayat Officer Baljinder Singh Grewal, District Revenue Officer Badaldin, District Forest Officer Harjinder Singh, District Industries Officer Manmahinder Singh, BDPO Ishan Choudhary, and officials from various departments.
