1270 metric tons of paddy has arrived in Agampur Grain Market so far

Sri Anandpur Sahib, October 10: S. Harjot Singh Bains, Cabinet Minister for Education and Information and Public Relations Department, Punjab, has directed the officers of various procurement agencies to keep the procurement arrangements smooth and uninterrupted as per the convenience of the farmers and has instructed that along with the arrangements made for the convenience of the farmers in the markets, lifting and payment should also be kept smooth. He has informed that smooth procurement, lifting and payment are continuing smoothly as per the arrangements made in the grain markets by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann for the convenience of the farmers.

While the arrival of paddy in the grain markets has increased, procurement and lifting are also being done simultaneously. So far, 1270 metric tons of paddy has arrived in Agampur grain market, out of which 1265 metric tons of paddy have been purchased.
Secretary Market Committee Narinder Singh appealed to the farmers to bring dry paddy to the markets so that they do not face any problem during the purchase. He also appealed to the farmers not to burn the paddy stubble but to mix it in the ground and use it as fertilizer or to maintain it using modern machinery.

Regarding the purchase done in the grain markets so far, it was informed that 193 metric tons of paddy have been purchased by Pungrain, 884 metric tons by Markfed and 188 metric tons by FCI.
